The finished product of my wind up toy from my 3D II: Character Design class. I'm really happy with how Basil and Hazel turned out! I really enjoyed texturing them. I find that mapping is really fun, kinda like a puzzle. You have to find out where on the flattened out map of the model will stretch or squish the painting job, then adjust it. The animation isn't too good, but I really think the texturing looks nice.
